Please meet Joey

Please meet Joey

Joey is a 55 lb. 8 - 10 month male Rottweiler puppy who is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on preventative, neutered and is micro-chipped.

Joey is a very sweet Boy who wins the hearts of everyone he meets, he is great with other Dogs and Children. Joey loves to play ball and take walks.

Joey was chained up in the same yard as a little female we have named Cindy and left to starve to death. Both were emaciated with Cindy being in the worse condition, a kind hearted neighbor called Baltimore City Animal Control and reported the neglect. AC went out to the home and were shocked at the condition of both Dogs, the woman told them that Cindy had cancer and is why she was so skinny she then told them they could take her which they did.

After less than two weeks Cindy had regained 25% of her body weight and our Veterinarian at Academy could not find any signs of cancer, with the pictures and health records AC was able to go back and take the little male who we then took into Majesty and named Joey after the patron St. Joseph for justice. Both Joey and Cindy are as sweet as any Dog you could ever hope to meet. Neither appear to have been rough handled as neither shy away but are very trusting and affectionate, only wanting someone to love them and feed them.

Dedicated to the poor Dogs who suffered at the hands of Michael Vick!

From the Michael Vick indictment;

"In or about March of 2003, PEACE, after consulting with VICK about the losing female pit bull's condition, executed the losing dog by wetting the dog down with water and electrocuting the animal.”

"In or about April 2007, PEACE, PHILLIPS, and VICK executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in "testing" sessions at 1915 Moonlight Road by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground ."


In or about March of 2003, "Bad Newz Kennels," represented by PEACE, VICK and others unknown to the Grand Jury, lost the purse. The "Bad Newz Kennels" female pit bull jumped out of the ring and "scratched" the fight.
Following an agreement to allow a rematch between the dogs, "Cleo" beat the "Bad Newz Kennels"' female pit bull .
In or about March of 2003, PEACE executed the losing dog by shooting it with a Pistol.

~ Rescued Dog ~

Once I was a lonely dog, just looking for a home.
I had no place to go, no one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets, in rain, in heat and snow.
I ate whatever I could find, I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore, my body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance, I was always on the run,
for people thought that hurting me was really lots of fun.

And then one day I heard a voice so gentle, kind and sweet,
And arms so soft reached down to me and took me off my feet.
"No one again will hurt you was whispered in my ear."
"You'll have a home to call your own where you will know no fear"
"You will be dry, you will be warm, you'll have enough to eat."
"And rest assured that when you sleep, your dreams will all be sweet."

I was afraid I must admit, I've lived so long in fear.
I can't remember when I let a human come so near.
And as she tended to my wounds and bathed and brushed my fur,
she told me about the rescue group and what it meant to her.
She said, "We are a circle, a line that never ends".
"And in the center there is you protected by new friends".

"And all around you are the ones that check the pounds,
And those that share their home after you've been found"
"And all the other folk are searching near and far.
"To find the perfect home for you, where you can be a star".
She said, "There is a family, that's waiting patiently,
and pretty soon we'll find them, just you wait and see".
"And then they'll join our circle they'll help to make it grow,
so there'll be more room for more like you who have no place to go".

I waited very patiently, the day they came and went,
today's the day I thought, my Family will be sent.
Then just when I began to think it wasn't meant to be,
there were people standing there just gazing down at me.
I knew them in a heartbeat, I could tell they felt it too.
They said, "We have been waiting for a special Dog like you.

Now every night I say a prayer to all the Gods that be.
"Thank you for the life I live and all you've given me,
but most of all protect the Dogs in the pound and on the street,
and send a Rescue Person to lift them off their feet".

Cylburn now named Holt has been Adopted

by a WONDERFUL couple and has been renamed Holt. Holt is very loved and very happy, his new Family love him dearly and would not EVER think of parting with him for any reason.

Below is a message I received from Holt’s forever Mom today, I would like to put it here to help educate anyone who may be thinking of breeding that sweet Dog of yours without thinking of just what that may mean for the many Puppy’s and Dog’s who will come from that one mating!!
Holt had his surgery, we have put a picture of Holt here for anyone who would like to see exactly what bilateral enucleation looks like 24 hrs. post surgery. If this message helps to save one Dog from going through what Holt has had to endure, it will have been very well worth the effort.

I had a serious moment of anger this afternoon, and I'd like to share it with you in the hopes that you all will understand what brought on my "flash". Holt is a wonderful dog - but he is a dog who was dumped because he was blind. This isn't a COE breeder's dog - this is the result of a Back Yard Breeder - this is two people breeding dogs through an ad in the newspaper or with the neighbor's dog because puppies would be so cute, or the kids need to see life, or they thought they could make a few bucks...whatever crazy excuse people use. No genetic history, no health history - just puppies, and when they aren't perfect, they get put out of a car and left to fend for themselves.

Holt was lucky - he was found by a compassionate soul who rescued him, contacted someone else, and word went out there was a dog in need...he was accepted into Majesty Rottweiler Rescue and found a wonderful loving home even though the cards stacked against him - but this whole scenario could have been much different. When Holt was initially found, a group of people had gathered around him because of his blindness, he was walking in zigzags which scared this group and everyone but one man left. This man worked at the hospital close to where Holt was found and went back to the ER, got a piece of i.v. tubing, and made a collar of sorts then lured Holt into his car. There is no doubt in my mind that had this man not stepped up to help, animal control would have been called and Holt would have been on the metal table the next morning because he was deemed as unadoptable, either by virtue of his breed or his blindness.

I strongly believe in rescue - I don't have a COE dog - I barely have any that qualify as Rottweiler’s... without indiscriminate breeding, there would be no need for rescue. The ONLY thing that is going to make a difference is education, and we can all do our part there - volunteer at your shelter on spay/neuter days, talk with your neighbors, your family, your friends, so many people just don't know the staggering figures of overpopulation. They know there are strays, but I believe we can make a difference by helping people understand what a serious, serious problem overpopulation and breeding for all of the wrong reasons is.It is the Holt’s of the world who pay the ultimate price for the selfishness of humans.

Thankfully, Holt is well and safe and in a happy home tonight, he will never know; wandering the streets, hunger, sickness and the harshness of the winter, and he will NEVER feel the cold steel table under him at the shelter. But unfortunately, there's a very good chance that his littermates will or already have, because they are predisposed to congenital glaucoma as well. I have to wonder - what has happened to them?

I'd like to thank everyone involved in the rescue of these magnificent canines. I cannot imagine our life without our beloved breed - our household would not be complete - but I dream of a day free from phone calls or emails about one more that has been abandoned, because people finally wised up and quit trying to make a quick buck or show the beauty of life to the children...a day when rescue just won't be necessary because we, the evolved species, have evolved enough to be responsible.
Thank you so much to everyone who has kept Holt in your thoughts and since meeting him - he is truly a gem! I just know that he is going to be one great ambassador for the breed!

Who We Are

We are a 501c3 non profit organization and do rescue from within our homes, we have been very successful at matching many homeless Rottie's with wonderful Family's who have opened their hearts to these Beautiful but sometimes misunderstood Rottweiler's.

We foster all our Dog's in our homes where they are loved, socialized and treated as any Family member would be, we feel this makes for a much smoother adjustment when going into their forever homes.

The way we got started

Brutus was a 2 year old Rottweiler, living in Staten Island NY with a couple for two years very happily, then they had a two legged Baby. After having this Gorgeous Boy since he was a small puppy, having a private trainer for him and treating him as their Baby, they decided to get rid of him, "just in case, he may do something to the new Baby". Brutus was living outside for the last 9 months of his stay with them. Krissie heard about him and frantically posted his sad story every place she could think of. She found Terry with the help of a special person in Texas, and the next day Brutus went to live in his Forever Happy Home. Brutus is the reason Majesty became a Rescue. BTW, Brutus has been around MANY small Children, and is wonderful with them. Rottweiler's are wonderful Dogs and should, at the very least, be given a chance!!
